Seventh Congress of Serbian Anatomical Society of Serbia overlaps with celebration of hundred year anniversary of anatomy teaching in our country. It is going to be held in Belgrade, in the Institute of Anatomy, which is named by its founder and the first lecturer on newly founded School of Medicine, Niko MIljanić. We expect that anatomists not only from Serbia, but also from entire region and Europe are going to participate on Congress. We wish that everybody is going to visit our Institute and share with us joy of the celebration of the immense jubilee. We hope that all the presenters are going to deliver us the newest results of their investigation, novelties from clinical anatomy and anatomy teaching. We all wish to use the opportunity of our assembly to see the old friends, but also to meet young anatomists, who represent the future of anatomy. Belgrade is traditionally good host and we shall make efforts that our guests bring back home pleasant memories from Belgrade.
For the newcomers, Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, it has about two million of inhabitants and it is located on the banks of two rivers, Sava and Danube. We are proud to live on both sides of two rivers; Belgrade is decorated by its Skadarlia, bohemian quarter, Knez Mihajlova Street, the heart of Belgrade shopping facilities, banks of Sava and Danube, which are going to be liked by those who wish to exercise a little bit, but as well to feel the taste of Belgrade night life, famous throughout the entire world. Zemun, a part located on Vojvodina side of Danube, offers an exceptional delight in numerous restaurants on the very bank of Danube. Avala is one of the favorite picnic areas of Belgrade inhabitants, decorated by its tower, a magnificent viewpoint, probably the nicest in Serbia.
Hoping that you are going to enjoy your stay in Belgrade, we wish you welcome.
