The Institute of Anatomy was founded when the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade itself, on December 9, 1920. Since the construction of the building that still houses the Institute of Anatomy was not completed at that time, the first lecture in the field of anatomy was given by Prof. Dr. Niko Miljanic in today’s Captain – Misa building.
